THIS
IS OUR STORY

Often
our many friends have expressed an interest in the story of how
Inspiration House came into being. Winston Abbott and Bette Eaton
Bossen were first acquainted during careers in administration and nursing
in the health care field. Combining their talents, they created
their first book, Come Walk Among the Stars. Even
while they worked on Sing With the Wind there was little thought of
developing a fulltime publishing house. Then early in 1970, it
became apparent that they could not continue to divide their time and
energies and, fortunately, decided to form Inspiration House
Publishers. As the years passed, the author and the artist took
great pride in having sold over one quarter of a million copies of their
six titles.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Although
a change occurred in 1985 when Sue and Tim Shepard, personal friends of
both Winston and Bette, became the publishers, the tradition remains
unchanged. Sue has owned and operated her own book store for twelve
years, and Tim has been active in land conservation and environmental
concerns. It is their commitment to see that Inspiration House
continues as a small, independent publisher providing prompt and personal
service to wholesale and retail customers alike. It is their sincere
hope that the world may be a bit more beautiful because of the thoughts
and images presented in these fine
books.
